Trianna Feruza grew up performing for Belly Dancers, participating in multiple bands and attending underground Hip Hop shows throughout the Bay Area.
Dynamic up-and-coming artist Trianna Feruza hails from the musically diverse Bay Area. She grew up songwriting and busking all over Santa Cruz, and has forged essential collaborative ties with many other musicians in that local scene. Whether you trace her roots back to her grandfather Solomon Feldthouse (of U.S. psychedelic rock group Kaleidoscope, played with Leonard Cohen and many others) or the rest of her family, who have performed in bellydance/Renaissance Faire communities for generations, Trianna's upbringing was laden with rich influences. From Balkan jams to Hip-Hop cyphers to Jazz choirs to Flamenco influenced cante’s, her list of inspirations goes on and on.
A Trianna Feruza showcase seeks to deliver an epic show via tight musicianship, powerhouse vocals, and thought-provoking lyrics. Music is her connection to not only her community but to the rest of the world. Being a pianist, guitarist, and singer, she’s always made a conscious effort to connect with both players and singers making it possible for her to work with (and learn from) a number of incredible musicians/teachers.
"Spreading the love through music is the intention, it's so easy to get caught up in the trials and tribulations of the world, yet somehow still so hard to connect to your inner beat, forgetting to process and move through rather than sit and fester."
