From Migente: “We are so excited to announce our upcoming festival! We’re partnering with @santacruzartleague to host Santa Cruz’s FIRST AfroLatine Festival, an intercultural celebration to unite Black & Brown communities. The AfroLatine Festival will honor Hispanic/Latine Heritage Month, observed from Sept 15 to Oct 15 to honor the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors come from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America, by educating and celebrating African roots and influences on Latin American culture.

This event will feature approximately 20 arts & craft vendors, Latin American food options from various countries such as Colombia, Mexico, El Salvador, live performances from @lacumbiambacolombiana @phreeborn @sambasouldancecompany and more! The event is free, family-friendly and open to the public with a suggested donation to support the festival and future events of the organization.
